Licensed Massage Therapist Amy Tobey is a 2005 graduate from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. She is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Her focus in the field of massage is to create general well being in her clients through decreasing muscle soreness and stiffness, with an emphasis on stress relief and relaxation. It is Amy’s belief that massage provides an opportunity to give oneself the gift of focusing on their body in a productive and healing way.
Amy brings to her practice a variety of interests and education. She has earned an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Housatonic Community College. Amy is also involved in a variety of sports and activities, including martial arts, golf, softball and yoga. Amy incorporates a regular practice of yoga into her work, as the philosophy of quieting the mind and body awareness helps provide the utmost relief to her clients. She is currently enrolled in a training to become a yoga instructor. Her ability to combine these arts of healing creates balance, peace and harmony in each session. |
